Year

The found of folate and Commercialization   process of Synthetic folate

1931

Lucy Wills made a key observation that   led to the identification of folate as the nutrient required to prevent   anemia during pregnancy.

1935

Scientists have found a substance that   can treat monkey anaemia in yeast and liver concentrates, called vitamin M.

1939

People have also found a substance that   is resistant to chicken anaemia in the liver, called vitamin B9.

1940

A substance that promotes the growth of   lactobacilli was found; a growth factor of Streptococcus lactis was found in   spinach in the same year.

1941

It was found that the vitamin M, B9,   anti anemia factor and the growth factor were the same with the substance   found in spinach. American scientist Mitchell named it as folic acid.

1943

Mitchell successfully extracted around 1   mg 5- methyl folate from tons of spinach. But its chemical properties are too   active to be preserved and applied.

1945-1946

American scientists R.B.angier   successfully synthesized a 5-methyltetrahydrofolate analogues -   pteroylmonoglutamic acid called folic acid currently, which is stable, but no   activity. It can become the active form of 5-methyltetrahydrofoalate after a   series of enzyme chemical reaction in the body. Absolutely, this is a great action,   and people can get the folic acid from the commercialization approach!

1950-1960

Scientists began to discover the biochemical mechanisms of   action for folate.

1965

The 5-methyltetrahydrofolate calcium   racemate could be supplied commercially.

1994

The technique of high activity 6S-   5-methyltetrahydrofolate calcium was disclosed. The potency was doubled.

2000

The manufacturing technology of stable   crystal

6S- 5-methyltetrahydrofolate calcium was   disclosed.

2001

The US FDA approved the application of   6S- 5-methyltetrahydrofolate calcium as a new raw material in nutrition and   health care products.

2004

The European Food Safety Authority   (EFSA) concluded that there is no safety problem for 6S-   5-methyltetrahydrofolate calcium in the use range of 1 mg / day.

2005

JECFA confirmed safety of the 6S- 5-methyltetrahydrofolate   calcium as folate source.

2012

The method of manufacturing C effect   crystals is disclosed by Lianyungang Jinkang Hexin Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.   Such C-effect crystalline 6S- 5-methyltetrahydrofolate calcium can be   absorbed easier.

2017

Highly pure crystalline manufacturing   methods are disclosed by Lianyungang Jinkang Hexin Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.
