What is L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate calcium

L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate calcium belongs to the category of "nutritional supplements" and is mainly used for folic acid deficiency (low levels of folic acid) and anaemia (lack of red blood cells). It is useful for low folic acid levels due to poor diet, pregnancy, alcoholism and other diseases.

L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate calcium contains L-5 methyltetrahydrofolate calcium, a member of the folic acid group of vitamins (vitamin B9). Folic acid is a water-soluble vitamin naturally found in food B. It helps in the formation of red blood cells and is beneficial for low folate levels and anaemia. It also protects against DNA changes that may cause some of the body.
